Utsubo Park is a peaceful oasis located in Osaka. This park is not just a green space; it's a place where history and modernity blend seamlessly. Originally, Utsubo Park was an airstrip during World War II, but after the war, it transformed into a vibrant public park. It's a great example of how a city can repurpose an area to benefit its residents and visitors.

Utsubo Park is well-known for its beautiful rose garden, which features over 160 varieties of roses. Imagine walking through rows of colorful, fragrant roses - that's what you can experience here, especially during the rose festival in spring and autumn. Besides the roses, there's a tennis center, a playground for children, and plenty of open spaces perfect for picnics or just relaxing.

What makes Utsubo Park unique is its combination of nature, history, and community. It's a place where people come to exercise, relax, and enjoy the beauty of nature amidst the city's hustle and bustle. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, Utsubo Park offers a peaceful retreat and a chance to experience the harmony between nature and urban life in Osaka.

Traveler reviews

I love this park so much, it's a nice walk from my apartment to here and would spend some time just sitting and breathing in fresh air surrounded by beautiful views of the fountain, the trees, and the roses when it's in season. Absolutely stunning and relaxing. Love seeing group of people, families with small kids, friends, just enjoying their time there. It felt so lively yet so calm.

Nice park, a lot of roses, places to walk around, small river, lots of shade. Sadly that creates the perfect setting for a lot of mosquitos..

What a beautiful resort of greenery within this metropolis! A lovely garden with plants and flowers along the walkway to wander around. The lack of shades and shelter during the cruel summer is the only drawback. The main straight route, mostly for pedestrians and cyclists, is accompanied with a side curvy path for joggers if desired.
