What other travelers are saying about Nakanoshima Park
This island in the middle of the busy city is a good place to relax. The rose garden, from early summer to autumn is colourful and scented. The old, brick-built city hall and ceramic museum are also worth a visit. If you like jogging or walking, you start at the park and, without having to deal with cars, go on foot all the way to the Yodo River and beyond (as far as Kyoto!).
It's a truly beautiful park, and although many roses in the rose garden have already withered, you can still enjoy their lovely fragrance. If I had visited a month earlier, I think the scenery would have been absolutely stunning.
Nakanoshima Park (中之島公園) is a serene oasis in the heart of Osaka, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is beautifully landscaped with lush greenery, seasonal flowers, and wide open spaces that make it ideal for a leisurely walk or a peaceful afternoon. The paths are well-maintained and provide lovely views of the river on both sides, with plenty of benches to sit and relax while watching the boats go by.
For those looking to unwind, the park has a calm and tranquil atmosphere, making it a great spot for a quiet stroll or even a picnic. It’s especially lovely during spring when the roses are in full bloom at the rose garden. The blend of natural beauty and urban surroundings creates a relaxing environment that is perfect for couples, families, or anyone needing a break. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Osaka and seeking a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city!
Paradise by night! Such a little 'secret' that is 'hiding' in plain sight. The rose garden was immaculate. While we didnt go to the Riverside Grill & Beer Garden the smell wafting through the garden was delectable
This park seems to be popular among families with young children and athletes. There’s a lot of sitting areas and trees to provide shade from the sun. There weren’t a lot of roses in bloom, but I believe it would be beautiful during roses season. Nice to look at the sights, buildings, and a calm walk by the river.
