No. Entry and parking are free. Payment is required only for purchases at shops, restaurant meals, or fruit-picking activities at nearby orchards.
It specializes in fresh fruit from the Chichibu region's orchards due to the area's elevation and climate. The location provides direct access to locally grown produce and serves as a rest point on Route 299 through the Chichibu mountains.
The place was clean and quiet, there was an incredible massage room/machine, the shop was nice. We were chilling at a picnic table in the morning and the manager of the place came and spoke to us. He was super lovely. It was our first michi-no-eki of our trip and I doubt any other will beat it. Can't recommend highly enough!
Very unimpressed with the varieties and the quantities of locally-grown produces sold in this michinoeki. The food served in the restaurant next to it was mediocre (to say the least)!
Delicious grapes. They offer several varieties too. Though you should eat everything you pick within 30 minutes. The left overs you have to pay so don't get too excited picking 😂
