Spring (April to May) and autumn (October to November) are the most popular seasons. Spring brings cherry blossoms, while autumn offers red and gold foliage. Winter provides snow-covered landscapes, and summer features dense greenery. Each season presents different viewing opportunities, so the best time depends on your preference for seasonal colors.
A complete tour takes 30 to 60 minutes. The garden covers 3,600 square meters with a looped path around the central pond. Most visitors can see everything in under an hour.
The garden has paved and gravel pathways with some steps and uneven surfaces. Most areas are accessible for children and elderly visitors, but wheelchairs and strollers may face difficulties on certain paths. The compact size requires minimal walking distance.
English signage is limited, and most information is in Japanese. Regular guided tours are not available. The garden is easy to navigate independently, and the visual elements can be appreciated without detailed explanations.
Yes. Hirosaki is 15 minutes away and features Hirosaki Castle and its park. Aomori City is 40 minutes away. The garden works well as part of a day trip exploring the Tsugaru region's cultural sites, craft workshops, and apple orchards.

Lovely tranquil gardens. Lucky to be able to catch the cherry blossom in full bloom.
Visited as part of a tour. Nice garden but nothing spectacular. The house and shrine were interesting. Not sure what it costs to get in but hopefully not much. It was a long drive from Aomori and I wouldn't drive here specifically. Toilets were clean and adequate. Lady who worked there was friendly.
A Japanese style garden with a wonderful landscape during fall. Entry fee is 500 per person.
Definitely a stop over for any nature or studio Ghibli.
An absolutely beautiful garden. If you are in the area, this is a must see.
