Less than 3 hours away from Tokyo by jetfoil, a lovely tiny island with great beaches. You can walk from one end to the other in about 25 minutes. There are four beaches but the best ones are on the north end and include a family beach and one work fun snorkeling options. Two supermarkets, one providing lunchboxes, and a couple of other shops is all there is. Good for a beach getaway.
The local map lists a "promenade", but in reality those are overgrown jungle tracks best avoided!
Small beautiful island that is part of Tokyo. There several small beaches that is well protected and somewhat adventurous. It’s not like Okinawa, but very unique. Relatively rocky overall, but there are some beaches where visitors can enjoy summer activities. There are a lot of fish here, so you can either snorkel or fish.
