What other travelers are saying about Shikoku Aquarium
The largest aquarium in Shikoku
Many sea animals ! Especially u can find otter here.
U can buy the ticket easily at the entrance, no need to book online.
TBH, the ticket price is a bit expensive.
Better check the show schedule before u plan your visit. Since it is not possible to stay in the aquarium whole day to watch all the show.
Re-entry is allowed, remember to stamp the stamp provided right next to the exit gate if u would like to go back.
Many souvenirs in the shop, u can buy different types of special edition souvenirs there.
The aquarium specializes in marine life from the Seto Inland Sea and Pacific waters around Shikoku, rather than displaying global species. Its viewing panels are positioned to frame the actual Seto Inland Sea in the background, creating visual continuity between exhibits and the natural environment outside.
Most visitors spend between 2 to 3 hours to covers the main exhibits and performances. Visitors dining at the restaurant or exploring the outdoor viewing areas may need a half-day.
Basic English signage exists for major exhibits and species names. Detailed information is primarily in Japanese. Staff have limited English proficiency.
Tickets are available online via the official website or at the entrance counter. Online purchase is recommended during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons to avoid queues.
The facility has elevator access to all floors and wheelchair-accessible pathways. Free wheelchair loans are available at the entrance on a first-come, first-served basis. The dolphin stadium includes designated wheelchair seating areas.
We love aquariums, so we had to visit this place since it’s said to be the largest aquarium in the area. Most people recommend spending about 2 hours here, which feels just right. We spent 3 hours here. What stood out the most to us was the dolphin show—it was the most gentle performance we’ve ever seen. You’ll understand what I mean when you see it for yourself!
By the way, this aquarium consists the most beautiful animal drawing ever!!! my video is longer than 30 seconds which means there are more drawings in the aquarium. You should come and see them yourself!
Nice small aquarium to spend a few hours with your family . There is a scheduled dolphin show , the pool is small but you can get very upfront close to the dolphins . We really enjoyed ourself
It's a nice experience for us to come to this aquarium. They provide many special performances, like dolphins performance. The sea creatures can be seen were varies. The place also not so crowded even on the weekend so that we can enjoy to see every fish and creatures there.
As an Aussie we went there with our kids because they love fish ! However seeing those poor dolphins in their tiny enclosure, doing their performances was a little upsetting. $90AUD for two adults and two kids.
