⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Took a river cruise along the Sumida River and it was such a vibe! Honestly didn’t expect much but the views of the bridges and Tokyo Skytree reflecting on the water were stunning 😍 It’s a totally different side of Tokyo that you don’t really see just walking around. Went during cherry blossom season and it was hands down one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen, pink trees lining both sides of the river 🌸 The boat ride is cheap and super relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Definitely a hidden gem that most tourists skip. 100% recommend!
Day or night, sunny or rainy, the view is gorgeous!
We highly recommend allotting two days and two nights to be able to explore the entirety of this very long walkway and see different sights of the cherry blossoms and Tokyo Skytree.
Breathing in some fresh air and watching boats pass by while taking a stroll is so relaxing. We would love to come back here.
Tip:
Lanterns light up from 6:30pm to 9pm. It's worth enduring the cold for the spectacular night scenery.
We walked across river next to railway tracks, river path has very good views of surroundings
Sitting by the river at night was such a peaceful experience 🌙 The views are breathtaking, especially with the cityscape in the background.
It’s the perfect spot for a leisurely walk, or, honestly, any kind of relaxing activity. Whether you're looking to unwind or capture some beautiful photos, the Sumida River is a must-visit.
