What other travelers are saying about Tokyo Character Street
Super fun time here! It’s cool to see so many shops and gifts and there’s plenty of food as well. It’s very convenient since it’s right under the station so getting here is pretty simple. It can be very busy so expect crowds! Many crowds!

Tokyo Character Street is in the underground mall at the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station. Its convenient location makes it an easy and essential stop for visitors exploring Tokyo.
Shoppers can explore an array of stores featuring goods from beloved characters like Hello Kitty, Pokémon, Snoopy, and Totoro, among others. Items range from collectible plush toys to character-themed cutlery, food products, and clothing. The variety and quality of goods make it a must-visit for collectors and fans.
To avoid the crowds, the best times for a leisurely visit are early morning, just after opening, or in the afternoon before the evening rush. Tokyo Station gets particularly busy during lunchtimes and after work hours.

There are some amazing stores here, pick up your souvenirs, your favorite character merch and so much more. There’s food inside the stations and you can really spend a whole afternoon here! It does get crowded so be weary!! 4/5
Tokyo Character Street is highly recommended if you are a fan of Sanrio, San X, Doraemon, One Piece, Shonen Jump and many many more. I would highly recommend visiting here. As a tourist, the language barrier was not too bad here, although in the One Piece store there the worker that served me the second time I purchased only offered the free gifts to the Japanese customers but the worker that served me the first time was super kind and sweet and offered the to me!
It was very difficult to find this place especially using Google maps. Chatgpt was helpful when taking photos of the 'you are here' map as it provided us with much better directions. Hint: don't leave the station it is hidden in da station. But it was very nostalgic with Capcom and SEGA stores
