German Village Tokyo is a wonderful place to spend an entire day! The area is very big and spacious, making it perfect for families and groups. There is a large kids’ play area with plenty of room to run around, along with big rides that children and adults can enjoy.
The highlight of the visit, especially in winter, is the beautiful illumination. The lights transform the whole village into a magical, glowing space that feels truly special. It’s definitely worth staying until evening to enjoy the full experience.
Do keep in mind that while there is an entry ticket, many activities—like rides and some food items—require additional tickets. Still, it’s a place you can happily visit at least once to enjoy a full day of fun, scenery, and festive vibes.
Not a very long drive if coming from Chiba. Wide open spaces for kids to run around. Good selection of German themed baked stuff to bring home as souvenirs. Ticket entrance was 3000 ¥ for parking and 2 adults. Missed the flowers though as it was still early spring.

There's nothing fancy or crazy about this park/village and definitely not worth travelling 3 hours for it. The architecture has a european feel but nothing that will blow your mind. The shops are selling German beer and other goods. The food at the cafeteria is a big let down, I'll never eat there again. Overpriced, Mostly using Frozen ingredients and taste was average at best.
A very spacious and relaxing place to visit! The illumination at night is beautiful and worth seeing. Great for families, kids, and couples who want a peaceful day outside Tokyo. We visited last Sunday (12/28/25), and it was very crowded. It was also very cold, so make sure to dress warmly if you’re coming during this season. The tickets are really affordable — only ¥1,000 for adults and ¥500 for kids.
