Tokyo Tower is a must-visit if you're in the city. It’s 333 meters tall and gives amazing views of Tokyo. The main observation deck is great, but the top deck tour is worth it if you want the full experience.
The tower lights up beautifully at night and feels like a mix of old-school charm and modern vibes. It’s easy to reach, has cafes and souvenir shops, and the nearby Zojoji Temple makes the area even more scenic.
Perfect for sunset views, photos, or just soaking in the Tokyo skyline.
Tokyo Tower is absolutely breathtaking — both in its striking design and the incredible views it offers. I visited at night, and watching the city light up from the observation deck was magical. You get a 360-degree panoramic view of Tokyo, and on a clear day, you can even spot Mt. Fuji!
The tower itself is well-maintained, with friendly staff, great souvenir shops, and even some fun exhibitions and attractions inside. It’s a perfect blend of historical charm and modern appeal.
Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local, Tokyo Tower is a must-see. Highly recommend stopping by, especially in the evening/night — it’s iconic for a reason!
There are three options to enjoy the Tokyo Tower. 1st level, top level and limited ticket sales in VIP Diamond Service. We only went up to the 1st level because it was an estimated 1 hour wait to go to the summit. The first level is approximately 150m up (approx 490ft) and cost something like ¥1,400 each. The top level is approximately 150m (approximately. 820ft) and costs ¥3,000. You can see Mt. Fuji from both observation levels. Smooth ride elevators that quickly take you up. One of us is a little sensitive to heights and had no issues whatsoever. If you are so inclined, purchase a Tokyo Diamond Tour ticket. Only 70 are sold each day so plan we'll in advance. Only ¥7,000 each for full fare adults. Complete with private lounges
Went today and this was a pleasant surprise. The prices were pretty fair for going to the top with there being very minimal wait. The views were absolutely phenomenal, especially around the top area and it also being close to the sunset having a direct approach to the downtown of Tokyo itself. You also learn a lot about the history of the tower itself and how Japan developed after the effects of WW2. Would highly recommend it for panorama.
Great view of the city at sunset and then some cool disco lights came on once it got dark. Good value for the price. Glad we did it. We only went to the main viewing platform at 150 m and were still impressed. Also got to walk through a beautiful park area on our way back to our hotel in Shiodome. Very nice.
