Absolutely amazing experience! We did the diamond tour which lets you cut the crowds and go into a lounge which gives you free snacks and drinks. The tour guide we had was fantastic! He was funny, entertaining and knowledgeable. His opera singing was beautiful and him leading us through the crowd while singing his heart out was a great experience. We are so grateful to have had the pleasure of having him as our guide as he made the experience unforgettable. Also, the views are truly something you dont see much in a lifetime, so I would recommend taking lots of photos but also taking a moment away from the screen just to admire it in person.
Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation tower located in the Shiba-Koen district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It is an iconic symbol of Tokyo and provides panoramic views of the city.
Tokyo Tower stands at 333 meters (1,092 feet) tall, making it the second-tallest structure in Japan when it was completed in 1958.
The design of Tokyo Tower was inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris. However, Tokyo Tower is painted white and international orange to comply with air safety regulations.
Visitors to Tokyo Tower can enjoy two observation decks with stunning views, a variety of shops and restaurants, and attractions such as the One Piece Tower theme park.
Yes, Tokyo Tower continues to be used for radio and television broadcasting. However, since the completion of the taller Tokyo Skytree in 2012, its role has diminished.
Very cool to see from the outside. You can either go up using the and elevator, which I did, or the stairs, which my husband did. If you do the stairs you also get a little card certificate which was very cute. It was nice being able to see a lot of Tokyo from so high up. There's also a shrine up there which I had no idea about, that was really interesting. You can also get your picture taken up top which was cute. Everyone was very nice.
Tokyo Tower is a timeless and iconic landmark that perfectly captures the charm of Tokyo. Seeing it up close is impressive, but the experience becomes truly magical at night when the tower lights up and glows beautifully against the city skyline.
The views from the observation decks are stunning, offering a wide panoramic perspective of Tokyo that feels both exciting and peaceful at the same time. The atmosphere is calm and enjoyable, making it a great place to take photos and appreciate the city from above.
Tokyo Tower isn’t just about the view — it carries a sense of nostalgia and classic Tokyo charm that feels warm and memorable. It’s a must-visit spot that leaves a lasting impression and a special feeling long after you leave. ✨🗼
What a wonderful experience. The tower and surrounding areas are gorgeous. Easy walk from local hotels and several train stations.
We did the 250m tour during the day which was absolutely incredible and cost about $40 USD for two adults.
Like everything else in Japan it was run efficiently and professionally with exceptional service.
We went on a clear day after it snowed the night before and you could see for miles and miles. Mount Fuji was clear as day.
Highly recommend
Tokyo Tower is a glowing, orange-and-white beacon that captures the classic romanticism of old Tokyo. Standing on the glass floors of the Main Deck and looking straight down at the city streets was a heart-racing highlight that made me truly appreciate the scale of this urban jungle. I’ll never forget how the tower transforms into a shimmering silhouette at night, making it the most nostalgic and beautiful point on the skyline for anyone wanting to feel the city's heartbeat.
