A small park with beautiful ruins of castle (a short time spent). If you’re lucky, you get to meet special samurai and ninja at the gate. Plenty of pokemon go players around the park. Found a nearby parking near the baseball stadium.

We are lucky to come today in good weather and full bloomed sakura. There are a lot of stalls and shows too. And of course many tourists from local to international. Admission is free while enjoying the full bloom sakura around the Castle. A very nice way to enjoy with family and friends ☺️

This free park is outstanding during the Cherry Blossom season! There are food stalls, games and drinks for the whole family! The night view of the Sakura is also amazing! We enjoyed a lot! You can walk about 10 mins to the park from the Ueda train station or take a 5min bus ride there. I’m not sure how to get back by bus. You can go up the castle turret for a fee. Clean bathrooms are available inside. There’s a souvenir shop in front of the main entrance but it closes early.

About 15 minutes walk from the train station. There are lockers near the train station so you can walk hand free. Nice stop on the way to other places. Nice park and temple grounds.
