I went here on a week day in spring. The place was full of beautiful flowers especially roses. This Park is free of cost. The closest station that I took was ishikawacho.
You can actually see this building from the station which is cool.
It's an uphill walk for 10 minutes but it's not too tiresome. There is no need of a ticket or reservation.
There are two buildings that you can check out. I only checked out the main building.
You're supposed to remove your shoes at the entrance and wear the slippers that's provided by them.
Then you are free to explore the inside of the building.
They also have a cafe that faces the park so you can relax there and enjoy the scenery.
In May, it was full of roses and it looked really beautiful!
I spent 20 minutes here but it was worth it!
The staff is kind and polite so if you have any questions you can ask them. Although they can only speak Japanese.
I recommend it if you are nearby and want to relax for a while!
We went on a Saturday afternoon. It was beautiful weather. We toured one of the buildings. Everything is beautiful and well taken care of. Not too crowded. And free!! It’s a steep climb up hill from the station.
Nostalgic feeling as we visited this place 15years ago. Still well maintained and have a great garden overlooking the yokohama area. They also have a cafe shop after you roam around the house and garden area.
I visited this garden in May 2023. There are lots of beautiful flowers to see, and a little fountain sits at the heart of the garden. They also have a museum and a Mediterranean-style house you can explore. I’ve forgotten some of the finer details, but if you enjoy flowers and architecture, you’ll probably love it here.
