Harbor View Park, known locally as Minato-no-Mieru Oka Koen, is a charming and picturesque destination in Yokohama that offers stunning panoramic views of the city’s bustling harbor. Located in the Naka Ward, this park is a favorite spot for both locals and tourists seeking a peaceful escape and breathtaking scenery.

The park is beautifully landscaped, featuring well-maintained gardens filled with seasonal flowers, rose beds, and lush greenery. The Rose Garden, in particular, is a highlight, especially in spring and autumn when the blooms are at their peak. The vibrant colors and fragrant flowers create a delightful atmosphere, perfect for leisurely strolls and photography.

One of the main attractions of Harbor View Park is its observation deck, which provides an unobstructed view of Yokohama Bay, the iconic Bay Bridge, and the city’s impressive skyline. The view is especially captivating at sunset when the sky transforms into a canvas of warm hues, making it a popular spot for romantic outings.

Harbor View Park also holds historical significance. It is home to the British House, a colonial-style building that dates back to 1937 and now serves as a cultural center. The building and its surrounding gardens add a touch of historical charm to the park.

This park is big and shaded, with an observatory deck where you can have a view of Yokohama from the top. There’s an English rose garden and an American-style garden to explore. If you're tired, there's an elevator and lift connected to the station, making it easy to avoid the uphill walk.

Very nice park to stroll around in. We were there on a sunny weekday in early march. Flowers were in bloom and not very crowded. You can go to the British house, which is free but not much to see. And very nice view of the city.
