Visited the market thrice on my first trip to Fukuoka. The first was one was on a Sunday and the market is closed on that day.
The market is very vibrant and as can be seen, locals and probably restaurant business owners buy their seafood there. There are also some restaurants selling seafood dishes, prices in my opinion are still better, much more competitive compared to Tsukiji and Kuromon markets.
Worth visiting.
First time visit. Not as big as those in the bigger cities, but decent amount of things to see, with about 4 restaurants. I tried the salmon rice bowl. It was yummy. My video shows the English menu.
👍
This is not a very popular or famous shop, so I can easily find a seat on the second level. I appreciate that they still don't have any translated menus, as their target customers are local people. The staff were very kind, and I had an enjoyable lunch there with a peaceful vibe!
The food was yummy, tasty, and good value. I'll be back for my next travel.
The fish cakes are pretty tasty. My favorites were the cheese, octopus, and Burdock root. You can also get the fish cakes sealed airtight so you can take them back home.
Small wet market with nothing much to see or do. You can go for a short stroll just to experience it. There are some small restaurants and eateries.
