What time and where does the tour begin?

The tour begins at 08:00 at Kanazawa Station, outside the Shinkansen ticket gates in front of the information center marked by three large sumo wrestler figures. Your guide will be wearing a Snow Monkey Resorts tour tag. Please arrive a few minutes early as the tour departs on time.

Lunch is not included. A break is provided in Unazuki Onsen, and your guide will recommend nearby restaurants. Guests with specific dietary requirements are advised to bring a packed meal, as options in the area may be limited. A convenience store is available in town.

How much walking does this tour involve?

The tour includes a 20 to 30-minute town walk in Unazuki Onsen and a 30-minute hike to the base of Shomyo Falls. Comfortable, sturdy footwear is essential. The hike to the falls is on a well-maintained trail suitable for most fitness levels.

What should I wear for this tour?

A great and enjoyable experience

Excellent and informative

Excellent day riding the open air narrow gauge railway through the stunning gorge. We also did a short hike to a gorgeous waterfall. Mike has a winning personality and we learned so much about Japan. We would highly recommend this tour.
