How do we get to Sandankyo?

You ride the Hiroden bus with your guide from Hiroshima Bus Center, a journey of a little over an hour each way. Bus fares and the boat ride are included.

How much walking is involved?

Expect about three hours of walking in total, split between the morning walk into the gorge and the afternoon walk back to the main entrance.

What is there to do at the end of the walk?

Back at the main entrance, there is free time for shopping or an optional visit to a nearby spa or hot spring before the bus to Hiroshima.
