How big is the class?

It is a small shared session with room for up to 6 guests, so the instructor can check everyone's whisking technique.

Do I need to know anything about tea first?

Not at all. The class starts from the basics, and the staff explain each step in English as you go.

What do I get to taste?

You drink the matcha you prepared and enjoy it with Japanese sweets before the class ends.

Where can I go afterward?

Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi Shopping Street are both within walking distance, so it is easy to carry on to dinner or shopping in Minami.

Find the studio on the 3rd floor of the Galleria Acca Building.
It takes about 3 minutes to walk from Shinsaibashi Station.
You can book on the same day if space remains.
Arriving more than 15 minutes late means you cannot take part.

Macha Tea Making

Very enjoyable experience. Learned a little about the history of macha and its purpose. Also, learned the process of making macha tea, as well as the ceremonial drinking process. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly, and with a great sense of humor. It was a nice break from all the walking and exploring to take a pause and enjoy a sip of macha.

Cute family tea experience

We had a fun experience with our host, Shota. We had a history overview in which we learned the basics of tea making. He was patient with my kids and the questions that we had. This was a great experience to do as a family. It was simple and no stress. The matcha tea and sweets were great as well.
