Shodo is traditional Japanese calligraphy, written with a brush and ink. Each stroke is made with care, so the finished characters reflect both technique and focus.

Do I need any calligraphy experience?

No. The master tailors the lesson to your skill level, so it works for first-timers as well as guests who have practiced before.

What will I learn during the workshop?

You learn proper brush technique and how to prepare the ink, then practice basic strokes before writing your own personalized piece.

You keep the calligraphy piece you create. A signature board and all equipment and materials are included, along with an apron to protect your clothes.
