Food tour and cookery class
Kyotos food market tour and cookery class
We did a guided tour of the market where we bought all the necessary food to then go onto our Japanese cookery class in the WAK Japan women’s association centre. A beautiful old original Kyoto building. Mieko Nomura showed us how to make sushi, miso soup from original ingredients and sesame and spinach. She is an excellent teacher and a lot of fun. We then sat down and ate the food we had made in their beautiful dining room. Thoroughly recommended as part of your visit to Kyoto.
