Yes. You learn to prepare matcha the traditional way and take part as both guest and host, then enjoy your green tea with Japanese sweets.

What is included in the kimono part?

Kimono rental and dressing are included. Just wear comfortable undergarments, such as a simple shirt, under the kimono.

Fun cooking experience

We did a cooking lesson with Mieko that was great fun as well as being educational for all of us. Highly recommend.

A wonderful food experience in Kyoto

We had a really fun food and cooking experience with Meiko and Yumi yesterday. Yumi took us on a fascinating tour of the food market, and even gave us a helpful Japanese lesson! Mieko gave us a wonderful cooking lesson, and the meal we made together was lovely. Thanks so much to them both for such a subarashi experience!
