This itinerary is perfect for you if you have kids who just naturally have their personal volume settings set to loud and they also need to move their bodies a lot. This itinerary also works really well for kids who get bored really easily. Every single lunch and dinner has 3 options to choose from - all kid-friendly and all the kinds of places where kids don't need to sit in silence to eat and can just be themselves.

Great hotel for families in an EXCELLENT location for families. On-site coin laundry. Public baths (separated by genders, no swimsuits allowed- of course), buffet breakfast at the on-site restaurant. Ask about connecting or neighbouring rooms for larger families. I have a write up of this hotel with lots of pictures here. thetokyochapter.com/candeo-roppongi-with-kids-tokyo
Simple business hotel. Small rooms but they are lovely and clean and the location is perfect for families. 2 mins walk from a decent sized supermarket (who also sell ready made bento) . On-site coin laundry. Breakfast is a simple buffet at a cafe on the ground floor. I have pictures of our stay here if you'd like to see.
Higher end hotel with a higher price point. One of the best buffet breakfasts of my life! The Airport Limousine bus stops right at the hotel. A few more minutes walk to the playgrounds but still reasonably close. I have pictures of the hotel here thetokyochapter.com/the-ana-intercontinental-roppongi-tokyo-with-kids This hotel has a pool that is open in July - September. Please note that pool use requires a reservation and pool usage is not included in your accommodation costs.

Tokyo
Setting the "so much fun, guys!" tone for the rest of the trip!
Take the airport limousine bus to the ANA Intercontinental or Grand Hyatt Tokyo and walk or take a cab to your hotel. Once settled and showered (if you arrive early, leave your bags at the hotel for when you can come back) and go straight to the Robot Park for slides and fun. See my article here for pictures of this colourful playground and in order to easily find the public restrooms. https://www.thetokyochapter.com/robot-park-roppongi/

If you need somewhere to eat a meal somewhere kids don't need to sit still and can play a bit while they wait for food - go to Shake Shack in Roppongi. It has a small terrace right out the front with a patch of green ( it shares the space with egg and pancake restaurant Eggs'n'Things so you could also get food from there too.) The Shake Shake stores all have high chairs. *Side note: Shake Shack in Japan is a fab idea for those who are gluten free as you can order a burger in a lettuce wrap. You can also ask for a triple patty with sauce, no bun, bacon, avocado and cheese. Just a warning incase you are very gluten sensitive - fries might not be a good idea as they reuse the oil between products.

Another dinner suggestion: Bubby's. American restaurant with zero pressure for kids to sit quietly - there is also a terrace, walk-way area out front where kids can play while waiting for food. Bring some stickers or puzzles for the table too - or ipads if you like - but don't forget headphones.

A mini (and easy) adventure day out! Lots of play and lots of sightseeing

Tokyo
Start the day early today. Take a taxi for 12 mins. to Shimbashi Station. From Shimbashi, take the Yurikamome (monorail style self-driving train) to Toyosu Station. As this train is driverless - I recommend getting on the first carriage and kids can pretend they are "driving." It's really cute and I've never met a kid who doesn't love this ride.
