Fuefukigawa Fruit Park is a 32.2-hectare urban park located in Yamanashi Prefecture, developed under the theme of "flowers, fruits, and wine." The park showcases the agricultural heritage of the historic Kōshū Province, featuring the traditional "Kōshū Hatchinka" - the eight unique fruits cultivated in this region during the Edo period. Today, the area remains renowned for peaches and grapes, continuing centuries of fruit cultivation tradition.

Positioned at the midpoint of the Fruit Line connecting Fuefuki-shi and Yamanashi-shi, the park houses over 1,000 fruit trees representing approximately 30 varieties across its sloping terrain. The elevated location provides sweeping panoramic views of the Kofu Basin and Mount Fuji, making it a significant viewpoint in the region. The park's night illumination has earned official recognition as one of Japan's "New Best 3 Night Views," establishing it as a premier destination for evening visits.

The park combines educational and recreational facilities across multiple zones. Visitors can explore a dedicated fruit museum, while families enjoy water play areas, a road train, and glass dome structures offering various activities. Children have access to extensive playground equipment, including an aqua athletic field with flowing water features. The park also features the Fruit Center positioned at the highest elevation, providing optimal viewing conditions for the surrounding landscape.

Entry to Fuefukigawa Fruit Park is completely free, with complimentary parking available. Individual attractions operate with separate admission fees: the Fruit Museum charges ¥400, while the Greenhouse and Fruit Hall require a ¥400 entrance fee. The park maintains year-round access, though specific facilities have individual operating schedules. Visitors can reach the park by taking local buses to the "Fuefukigawa Fruits Koen" stop after arriving at nearby railway stations in the Yamanashi area.

Traveler reviews

Beautiful place! There are all kind of fruit trees here. You can see how the gorgeous fruits are growing beautifully. Remember to be respectful and don’t pick the fruit! They have plenty of places around the area where you can buy all kinds of fruits. Also there are lots of areas where kids can play! There is the outdoor playground, aqua park, indoor playground in the dome, underground museum with interactive activities, and more. There are couple options for lunch time, fish grilling at the aqua park area, that’s seasonal. Bbq, restaurant, snacks, and the delicious seasonal parfait. I got to try the muscat one and it was amazing! Come early to enjoy as much as you can! Have lunch in the area, get some souvenirs and delicious treats and at the end enjoy at their onsen! A perfect day!

Amazing place with beautiful views, with lots of fruits. Huge place with play areas for kids, lots of stores around to buy the fruits. Can spend and entire day with a bunch activities to do. By dusk the place looks very different with the breathtaking views it offers.
Fuefukigawa is an excellent scenic spot. Many spacious parking lots, attractive views. Spend pleasant moments with your family, children, friends, and loved ones. Make memories of happy moments, but renew love in the best atmosphere. Refresh your mood with your favorite snacks, meals, barbeque, ice cream and soft drinks. A beautiful antique railway train is waiting for you to take you around the park. Water Park is a very enjoyable place for children. Where children fulfill their wishes. And with it the freshest fruits from the orchards are eager to accompany you. However, no matter how much we talk about the charm of this park, it is less.
Awesome place to spend the day. Non car access: bus from Yamanashi-shi. (I used electric bike along Fruits Line road from Isawa. Would recommend.) Space for kids, dog run, great views, an underground fruit archaeology museum, restaurants, shops, this place has something for everyone.
Super pretty, and I've heard the ice cream is great as well!! Featured in the hit anime and manga Yuru Camp! A must visit if you're a fan or near the area!!
