A Showa-Era Time Machine! Shibamata Haikara Yokocho is a retro lover's dream. It's packed with nostalgic dagashi (cheap sweets), vintage arcade games, and incredible Showa-era vibes.
It’s the perfect pit stop for a quick hit of Japanese nostalgia while exploring the neighborhood. A fun, kitschy trip down memory lane!
Very cool retro Tokyo shop. Pinball games in the back. Very 1970-80 feel to it. Lots of snacks to choose from and very close to the station.
Haikara Yokocho is a true retro treasure in Shibamata. ❤️
This store offers an incredible variety of Japanese candies, snacks, toys, and old arcade games.😜
I particularly enjoyed playing pinball for only 100 yen per game. The nostalgic atmosphere and unique items make it a must-visit for vintage lovers, is like a trip back in time.😍
According to a friend. This is a very old school shop that sells candy, every kid would go to a shop like this to buy candy. I bought a bunch of child hood favourites he recommended, played some pinball and shot the gun for a prize (didn't win).
Had a very good time here
A retro interior that lets you experience the charm of old Japan. It feels like an amusement park, full of nostalgic atmosphere.
