Thus light house was located at the most northern point of the island. Although it was far away from the city center, the view towards the ocean was stunning and worth driving a long way. There were a few parking lots and a toilet with washing basin installed outside. The walkway from the carpark to the light house was relatively short and not so steep. The colour of the ocean was beautiful. Driving during daytime was much safer because there was no light at night and the road without fence was narrow and only allowed one car to pass from either directions.
Visiting the Hirakubozaki Lighthouse was the absolute highlight of our Ishigaki trip. Located at the northernmost tip of the island, the panoramic views from this spot are nothing short of breathtaking.
The contrast between the iconic white lighthouse and the endless layers of emerald green and sapphire blue ocean is mesmerizing. We spent an hour just発呆 (gazing out) at the stunning coral reefs visible from the cliff. It is peaceful, refreshing, and incredibly romantic.
The drive up there is also highly scenic and enjoyable. There is a small parking lot available, though it can get a bit crowded during peak hours. If you are visiting Ishigaki, you absolutely cannot miss this cape. It offers some of the best coastal vistas in all of Japan. Highly recommended!
My family and I only stopped here for a short time, but it was absolutely worth it. We were able to take some wonderful family photos, and the scenery was stunning.
This was one of the best viewpoints we found on Ishigaki Island, and in my opinion, it offered much better views than Kabira Bay. If you're looking for a beautiful spot to enjoy the scenery and capture some memorable photos, I highly recommend stopping here.
Highly recommend!!
Beautiful view in the day and the perfect Spot to watch to Sunrise early in the morning. Between 11am and 6pm the food stand nearby offers delicious Snacks and Drinks. The lighthouse has Parkinson spaces and a few vendingmachines. There is a toilet though without sope. It is rather hard to reach if you do not have a car or are staying close by. There are only three Busses in this area per day
Great place to see the sunset and sunrise. There is not a lot of parking but this place is usually very quiet. Enjoy the views :)
