Kinshicho PARCO, Sumida

3.8 (3706)Shopping MallPoint Of InterestEstablishment

Kinshicho PARCO is a contemporary shopping complex located in Tokyo's traditional Sumida Ward, serving as a modern retail anchor in one of the city's seven official sub-metropolitan centers. The shopping center occupies the 1st through 7th floors of the historic Rakutenchi Building, which has been transformed to house this fashion-focused destination. Kinshicho PARCO opened on March 16th, bringing the established PARCO retail concept to this eastern Tokyo district.

The location holds cultural significance as part of Kinshicho's transformation from a traditional "shitamachi" downtown area into a modern commercial hub. Kinshicho, together with neighboring Kameido, forms one of Tokyo's seven official sub-metropolitan centers, or fukutoshin, reflecting its importance in Tokyo's urban development strategy. The area has long been known for its bustle and old-fashioned "shitamachi" atmosphere, aspects reinforced by the recent opening of such cultural facilities as the Sumida Hokusai Museum.

Visitors can explore multiple floors of fashion retailers, lifestyle brands, restaurants, and cafes within the shopping complex. The broader Kinshicho area features lots of large retailers including Parco, Marui, Yodobashi Camera, H&M, and baby and maternity wear megastore Akachan Honpo. The PARCO location specifically caters to fashion-conscious shoppers with its curated selection of contemporary brands and dining options across its seven operational floors.

Transportation access to Kinshicho PARCO is exceptionally convenient through multiple rail connections. Kinshicho Station is on the JR Sobu line and the Hanzomon subway line, while the JR Sobu Line and the JR Sobu Main Line (Yokosuka Line) provide direct access to Akihabara, Shinjuku, and even Nakano, Koenji, and Mitaka, covering the whole of Tokyo. The shopping center is directly accessible from the station, making it easily reachable for both local and international visitors. The facility is located on the 1st-7th floor of Rakutenchi Building, with no admission fee required for general shopping areas, though individual stores and restaurants maintain their own pricing structures.

What other travelers are saying about Kinshicho PARCO, Sumida

Nice mall with decent clothes stores (Lacoste, polo ralph lauren, and a tailor). The food court next door is only accessible by going to the ground floor. I go to the coffee shop there often, and it is usually full.

Small shopping mall, some good shops and easily accessed from the subway line and both Keio and JR Kinshicho stations. There is 24hs Seiyu supermarket in the basement. Good place for last minute shops.
Really nice mall. Not too big, but has lots of restaurant options for food. The KFC was quite good, service was also quick.
Not a very huge department store, but with quite a lot of shops selling Men's clothings. The Tommy Hilfiger shop is offering 40% discount in Jan. On the ground floor, there is a food court and we have tried the seafood rice and noodles. There is a Seiyu supermarket in the basement.
Visited the gacha place on level 6, supermart at B1 and the other shops. This place has almost everything I needed to end my trip here. Shopped so much I forgot to take photos.
