Absolutely worth the visit! This bridge is truly breathtaking. The elegant wooden arches are a masterpiece of craftsmanship, and the entire setting becomes even more magical during cherry blossom season when the surroundings burst into color. Getting there is easy with a bus ride from either Iwakuni Station or Shin-Iwakuni Station, making it a convenient day trip. Don’t miss taking the ropeway up the hill. The view from the top, with the castle overlooking the bridge and river, is unforgettable. A perfect blend of history, nature, and scenic beauty. Highly recommended!

We spent a few days in Hiroshima, did Miyajima, then we had a day before returning so we decided to check out Iwakuni. Best day ever!! We were a few days before the big Sakura bloom so things were gearing up but not yet in full swing. Playing by the river and eating in the park were bonuses! The bridge is beautiful. Everything from parking and ticketing to signage was very well organized. There are beautiful parks to walk through and old houses to walk through. Everything was beautiful. There were some foreign tourist, but mostly Japanese, and it was not crowded.

Kintaikyo Bridge is definitely worth visiting. The atmosphere is fresh and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing walk around the area while enjoying some ice cream—such a lovely experience. Don’t forget to pick up a map so you can easily find all the interesting spots to explore. I didn’t have a chance to try renting a kimono this time, but the guide map clearly shows where you can do it. I would love to come back and try that experience in the future.

Beautiful and quite. Not too many shops open when we visit though. Maybe it's resting time. We were here at about 1pm on Monday. Anyhow, the bridge is amazingly shaped. Looks like a dreamed architectural masterpiece.
