Plus: very nice scenery - one of the best in Kobe city. The atmosphere is fantastic with a large balcony where people can sit in groups and enjoy the food and coffee from surrounding shops. Minus: all the shops will close around 10 PM.
For $200 AU a night including breakfast you simply can't do better. This is in the best location for the Kobe harbour and Mosaic. For this price it doesn't get better. We have stayed in the Hilton and had worse experiences for 4 times the price.
Beautiful waterfront, great for a walk. Plenty of shops and food selections. Kids will have fun at the Anpanman Museum. The Ferris wheel costs 400 yen, cash only. You only get one full turn on your ride.
It's a large entertainment (more catered to youngsters) & shopping complex. You can walk from Kobe Main Station which is initially connected by an undergroud mall.
You could spend a whole day there with kids. Shop & eat until you broke and burst.
