It's a wonderful place where you can truly feel the history of the Rokugo Manzan faith. Everything is imbued with that rich history and faith.
However, it's currently severely damaged by natural disasters. It's been hit hard.
It's a beautiful place, but there are many road closures.
Using a car's navigation system might lead you around in circles. It's safer to check the route using an app or similar.
It will likely take significantly longer to reach some places than before.
(When hiking, it's essential to always check the route and identify any dangerous areas.)
Returning completely will take a considerable amount of time.
We support the recovery efforts.
Also, new initiatives are being undertaken regarding tourism, including the creation of art that utilizes the faith and nature.
It's highly recommended.
The ferry route from Kansai to Fukuoka! The weather was great and I could see the Kunisaki Peninsula!
Hundreds of thousands of fireflies dance in the air in early summer, but there are few people in the village to take care of them, so they can't even guide visitors. However, the sight of them reflected on the river surface at the weir of the Yajihara River in the uppermost settlement of Maruono is magnificent.
A trip around the Kunisaki Peninsula is highly recommended ⭕️🙆 There are two roadside stations and 🌊beautiful coastal scenery 🌊. On the Kunimi side, there are restaurants where you can enjoy grilled seafood, and you can also see Himejima Island from the roadside station, which is a lot of fun 😊!
