What other travelers are saying about Mitsuke English Garden
I visited there yesterday and I was sad because it is not season of the roses to bloom anymore so their were no beautiful roses. The flowers that are in bloom are so few but its okay, it's still a nice place to visit to date or to have bonding moments with love ones. It would be more beautiful when all the flowers are in full bloom. It's admission is free too. It's hot season so don't forget to have some soft ice cream at their cafe near π.
The garden is typically open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM during the main season, with last admission at 4:30 PM. Opening hours may be extended during special events such as rose festivals or evening illuminations. The garden is usually closed on Mondays (or the following Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday) and during the year-end period from late December through early January. It's advisable to check the official schedule before visiting, as hours may vary seasonally.
Standard admission to Mitsuke English Garden is approximately 400 yen for adults. Reduced rates are available for elementary and junior high school students at around 200 yen, while children under elementary school age typically enter free. Group discounts apply for parties of 20 or more people. Senior citizens aged 65 and over may also receive discounted admission. Special event periods may have different pricing structures.
The garden offers distinct attractions throughout the year, but the most popular periods are late May to early June for the rose season, when hundreds of rose varieties are in full bloom, and mid-April to early May for spring bulbs including tulips and daffodils. Autumn, particularly late October to early November, provides beautiful foliage colors. Summer offers lush greenery and the opportunity for canal boat rides, while winter appeals to visitors interested in architectural structure and seasonal illuminations.
Most main pathways in Mitsuke English Garden are paved or compacted, making them accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. However, some garden areas feature gravel paths or gentle slopes that may present challenges. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available on-site. The Victorian greenhouse and manor house have accessible entrances. Visitors with mobility concerns are encouraged to contact the garden in advance to discuss specific access needs and to borrow available wheelchairs if required.
