Took the cable car (ropeway) up and walked the outer-rim boardwalk of Mount Usu. Around 5 km at 260 m elevation, with almost 700–800 steps (I counted! 😂) up and down. Not a difficult hike, but definitely enough stairs to make it a good workout!
You can take ropeway to the top, cost about 2000yen per pax.
The view from the top was superb.
There are plenty of chairs for you to sit and enjoy the views.
Mountain 🏔️ Volcano Usu is situated at Hokkaido having stunning 🤩 view.
360degree view from the top and some seats locate there, very comfy! Worth to come.
Great if you’re looking for a chill and slow hike.
It’s costs ¥2000/person for a round trip ticket for the gondola. The gondola intervals are 15 minutes.
You can also pay ¥1,100 for a one way trip a you can hike back down but it will be further away from the starting point/carpark.
It’s also paid parking (we paid ¥500 - parked around 2pm), but when we got back to the carpark around 4pm - there were no more parking attendants, so maybe you can park for free after 4 but the last gondola leaves at 5.15pm so take note!
