The facility offers panoramic views of Mount Yotei, often called "Ezo Fuji" due to its resemblance to Mount Fuji. This 1,898-meter stratovolcano dominates the landscape and serves as the symbolic backdrop of the Niseko region. The plaza's observation deck provides unobstructed views of this volcanic peak alongside the surrounding Niseko mountain range, making it a popular photography spot throughout the year.

Inside Niseko View Plaza, visitors find detailed maps, brochures in multiple languages including English and Chinese, and staff who can provide recommendations for activities across all seasons. The facility includes a small gift shop selling local Hokkaido products such as dairy items, potato snacks, and regional crafts. A rest area with seating allows travelers to plan their itineraries, and clean restroom facilities are available. During winter months, the plaza serves as an important stop for skiers and snowboarders heading to nearby resorts like Niseko United, which comprises four interconnected ski areas.

The plaza is easily accessible by car, situated approximately 100 kilometers west of New Chitose Airport via the Hokkaido Expressway and Route 5, with the journey taking roughly two hours. Public transportation options include buses from Sapporo, though having a rental car provides greater flexibility for exploring the wider Niseko area.
