What other travelers are saying about Rusutsu Resort

The resort was great, especially if you enjoy tree skiing. Stayed at the Westin and the service was excellent, and access to the slope is easy. Loved how less crowded it is compared to other big resorts but still have plenty of variety skiing. People seem to be friendly and courteous. Really the only reason for 4 starts instead of 5 starts is the slope facility/equipment are a bit old. Still very safe and capable, but just need some refreshing to not make it like and feel dated. Of course that might make it more costly and become overcrowded. Just loved how relaxed and intimate it is currently, but with enough nice snap restaurants within walking distance to enjoy throughout the week. But MUST make reservations, and in person for many of them, because they are small and booked quickly. The breakfast buffet at Westin is very nice too, quite a bit of variety, and loved the hot ramen, fresh squeezed orange juice, and almond tofu!

Love this self- contained resort. There is a newer ( western side) and a older more traditional Japanese pension side. We opted for the traditional and had a tatami room. Buffet was delicious, gained five pounds, from the adventure despite skiing hard for three days straight.

One of the best ski resort in Hokkaido. The ski area is just out of 3m away from the side entrance of the hotel. Thus, this design makes it very convenient for the hotel guest to maximise their time in skiing. Besides, the hotel rooms are cozy and comfortable. Furthermore, there are vast varieties of food served provided in the hotel.

Cross between Las Vegas and Disneyland, huge and tacky in great location. Has lovely onsen, and Japanese restaurant on lower level. Huge ques for crowded breakfast buffet and irritating electronic Irish music on repeat all day and night long can be heard from the rooms are a draw back . With prices like this expect more style and with one nice lounge bar only was disappointed to discover they charge a cover charge or guests to enter !!!!
