•One of my favorite things in Sapporo: the lovely view of the city from the TV tower, esp during sunset! •Despite being cloudy when I visited, the sky was still really pretty ✨ •There is a fee and it allows you to enter once and stay there as long as you want. It’s a perfect way to spend hours just soaking the beautiful view. They also have binoculars and interactive observatory corners. •There are few seats on the top. Gets crowded at times. They also sell souvenirs, and ice cream. •Staff are very nice and accommodating. Toilets are on the ticketing area, so best to use them before going up.

Pretty good views on a clear day. Thankful to get in during golden week. Plenty of souvenirs and places to grab photos. Also take note of the 5 stamps throughout the building (B1, 3F and top floor). Results in a single pretty stamp. Also took advantage of the ¥100 discount for the soft serve ice cream at the base of the tower. I’d recommend buying tickets in advance.

The Sapporo TV Tower did not disappoint! The view was magnificent, as we got to see the sunset. The little telescope at the top was very cool, as it allows you to see the skyline of Sapporo much clearer. There were also adorable shops and stands with little keepsakes, souvenirs, and stuffed animals, especially of the shima enaga, Hokkaido’s snow fairy bird. If you are in Sapporo, looking for a great place to make unforgettable memories, I would definitely recommend visiting this place.

Sapporo TV Tower is one of Sapporo’s most iconic landmarks, standing proudly at the eastern end of Odori Park. The tower has a long history and remains a symbol of the city. At the top, there is a relatively small observation deck that offers panoramic views of Sapporo, including the length of Odori Park and the surrounding cityscape. While the admission fee feels a little expensive for the size of the viewing area, the scenery is still worth experiencing. For the best experience, visit before sunset and stay until nightfall. You'll be able to enjoy both the warm colors of sunset and the beautiful city lights after dark, creating two completely different but equally impressive views.

I went in the morning but due to strong wind they closed the observation deck, fortunately by the time of sunset it was open so it is good to check their website before going. The staff is very polite and some of them speak english very well. I paid 1200 JPY for the ticket but you can go to the 3rd floor for free, the deck itself is very small compared to other towers in Tokyo for example, but you get to see a great view of the Odori park and the mountains surrounding the city. The elevator is panoramic and you can see through the glass as you go up or down the tower
