What other travelers are saying about Sheng Tian Gong Temple
Impressive Taoist Temple that can be noticed from a distance. It has a nice garden, multiple vending machines and a quiet atmosphere. The staff were very polite and they even had English flyers. I was very surprised by how nice the furniture inside the temple was.
Big place, with gorgeous Taiwanese architecture and statues, very colorful. Have some information about Taiwan also vending machines with Taiwan drinks and snacks. Don't forget to visit the towers and if you are a big person watch out with your head. Outside have a nice garden. Can also buy amulets. Make sure you pay your respects to the Gods, believing or not.
Enjoy.
Gorgeous Taiwanese style temple. It is in a very random location (quite far from the train station). But it is incredible unique and beautiful. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
Really worth a visit and a no brainer if you are visiting Kawagoe anyway. Although it was built relatively recently it makes you think that older (taoist) temples in Japan, hundreds of years ago may have looked like this, so it's quite a treat to experience it in the present at it's most vivid and colourful, pretty rare.
