Take a Train to Dobutsuen-Mae Station or Ebisucho Station

The Shinsekai area is easy to reach by train and well-connected from major parts of Osaka.

Recommended Train Routes:

  • From Namba Station: Take the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line to Dobutsuen-Mae Station (about 5 minutes).

  • From Umeda Station: Take the Midosuji Line to Dobutsuen-Mae Station (about 15 minutes).

  • From Tennoji Station: Take the JR Loop Line or Midosuji Line to Dobutsuen-Mae Station or Ebisucho Station (5 minutes).

Traveler’s Tip: Once you arrive, use Exit 1 or Exit 5 at Dobutsuen-Mae or Exit 3 at Ebisucho for the easiest walk to Shinsekai.

Tsutenkaku is the heart of Shinsekai. It’s a tower that looks like a mini Eiffel Tower and has been a symbol of Osaka since 1912.

✔ Visit the LED-lit night display if you’re staying until evening.
