What a joyful, beautiful, well attended park full of people enjoying Noguchi’s design. My visits have been delightful, on a very hot sunny day and also on a moody rainy day. For adults, children, couples, friends, singles, teams…probably for birds, this is a very enjoyable park. There’s an excellent shop, a casual cafe, and an elegant French restaurant. There are many lookouts, opportunities to get in water, shady spots, and also the option to rent bikes.
Moerenuma Park was such a refreshing place to wander around. The mix of open space, striking design, and scenic viewpoints made the whole visit feel calm but never boring. I especially liked how easy it was to just walk and take everything in at my own pace. The baseball field is a nice extra touch too.
Design by Isamu Noguchi, fantastic place to spend a few hours with kids, family or yourself.
Ample parking but suggest you park at the sheltered glass tower, nearer to everything.
The climb up is easy to moderate, you can choose different ways to go up both hills.
Moerenuma Park is a very nice park and has 1600 sakura trees, unfortunately when I visited tge bloom was over and only a few trees still had petals. There are three main things to see here, two massive hills and a glass pyramid. The park is best by bike which you can hire one near the entrance and I recommend you do for the best experience.
The park and the pyramid-like structure’s very nice. The park could be for kids because of the gigantic slope for sleds and great sightseeing and photography spot for adults. Just remember to pin Moerenuma Park East gate for easier access especially on winter.
