A full-day seasonal tour from Nagoya led by an English-speaking guide, visiting a seasonal flower park on the Hirugano Plateau and the protected alpine valley of Kamikochi in Chubu Sangaku National Park. All admissions and round-trip bus transport are included.
The guided hike to Kappa-bashi takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes and follows a mostly flat, well-maintained trail with wooden boardwalks for the majority of the route. The hike is suitable for most guests with a basic level of fitness. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
Lunch is not included. Food options at both the Flower Park and in Kamikochi are limited. Bringing a packed lunch or snacks is strongly recommended. A small backpack for carrying food, water, and a jacket is advisable for the day.
Layered clothing is essential as temperatures in Kamikochi can vary significantly throughout the day. During the main season, temperatures range between 7 and 22 degrees Celsius. In late autumn, temperatures can drop to 0 degrees Celsius. Comfortable walking shoes and rain protection are recommended year-round.
This tour operates from May to mid-November only. Kamikochi is closed to visitors during the winter months. Late autumn visits, particularly in October and November, offer spectacular foliage, but temperatures can drop significantly, so warm clothing is essential.
If any part of the itinerary cannot proceed as scheduled due to weather, trail conditions, or other factors, the tour operator will arrange a suitable alternative and inform guests as early as possible.
