Asakusa Sushi Making, Sake Ceremony & Matcha Experience

• Minimum participant age is 4 years.

• The venue is wheelchair and stroller accessible.

• Infants must sit on an adult's lap. Infant seats are not available.

• Guests with food allergies or those who prefer no raw fish must notify the operator at booking.

• Non-alcoholic alternatives are available for the sake ceremony.

• The owner's original sushi recipe is shared with all participants at the end of the session.

• Bookings must be completed at least 1 hour before the class start time.

• Pets are not permitted at the venue.

Workshop Agenda

Kagami Biraki Sake Ceremony 

The class opens with a group Kagami Biraki in which participants count down, strike the sake barrel lid together, and shout "Yoisho" three times. One glass of sake per adult participant is included. Non-alcoholic alternatives, including water and Japanese green tea are available. 

• Duration: Approximately 15 minutes

Hands-On Nigiri Sushi Making 

Learn to shape sushi rice by hand, handle toppings, and place fish using the correct nigiri technique under step-by-step instruction. The instructor shares the owner's original sushi recipe and technique guide with all participants. No prior experience is required. 

• Duration: Approximately 35 minutes

Super Ikura Festival Experience 

Assemble gunkan maki and pile salmon roe on top while chanting "Wasshoi" as a group, following the style of a traditional Japanese festival. Participants make multiple pieces during this section. 

• Duration: Approximately 15 minutes

Matcha Ceremony 

Whisk a bowl of matcha using traditional tools under guided instruction before sitting down to eat the sushi made during the class.
