Hanamikoji Street is one of the most likely places in Japan to spot geiko or maiko in the early morning as they travel to appointments. Sightings cannot be guaranteed, but the morning timing of this tour gives the best opportunity.

What is the Yasui Konpiragu Shrine ritual?

The ritual involves writing a wish on a paper ema, crawling through a large symbolic stone on the shrine grounds, and leaving the paper behind. It is said to sever negative relationships or circumstances and invite positive ones into the participant's life.
