Which kinds of sake will I taste?

The operator gives this set as an example: sparkling sake, daiginjo, honjozo, junmai, nigori, special junmai and kijoshu, a sweet style suited to dessert. Each pour is 60 to 75 ml, and the seven sakes come from seven different regions of Japan.

Is the session given in English?

Yes, the program is run primarily in English. The operator also offers French-speaking and Spanish-speaking guides for an additional fee, requested as an add-on when booking.

Can dietary or other needs be accommodated?

If you need special consideration for religious reasons, allergies, a medical condition or similar, note it in the remarks when you book. Arrangements cannot be guaranteed for bookings made without that prior notice.

Do I need to know anything about sake beforehand?

No. The session is an introductory program on the culture, history and production of sake, so it suits guests who are trying sake properly for the first time.

Is the food a full meal?

The seven dishes are served as a multi-course meal of Japanese and Western dishes chosen to match the sake. Any other food or drinks beyond what the program serves are not included.
