Futako-Tamagawa Park in Tokyo is such a spacious, calm, and family-friendly spot that feels perfect for a relaxing day out, especially during cherry blossom season when the scenery becomes even more beautiful with sakura in full bloom and seasonal wildflowers like hamadaikon adding extra charm. The park is very comfortable for families with children, offering plenty of open space to play, walk around, and enjoy a peaceful picnic atmosphere away from the busy city crowds. It’s truly a lovely hidden gem for anyone looking to enjoy a quiet hanami experience in Tokyo with a natural and refreshing vibe.
Big park. Can walk for hours through natural setting and end up on the bank of Taman river.
There is a playground, ideal place to bring children for outing. There is also a small lake and a mini waterfall. There is also a multi purpose field, as saw people playing baseball, football. Then we also saw a unique house, traditional and historical importance. Then finally, we ended up at Starbucks to have tea and rest our aching legs.
Lovely small park with a nice stream and pond. Free entrance and a traditional style house you can take photos in.
Visited Futakotamagawa Park today again and spent a good time having picnic, and lots of fun with our kids. It is very close to the station and quite wide containing a small soccer field, some sports equipment mostly oriented for kids, playing area, a wonderful Japanese style garden, picnic area, slide and even Starbucks.
All the supermarkets near the part have lots of bentos and fresh pretend foods.
Definitely will visit it again and strongly recommend for everyone.
Very nice place to space out and just wait for the sunset. Grab a drink from the Starbucks located just inside the park or from one of the vendos and pick a spot along the river bank.
