Kishamichi Promenade

4.4 (1049)Historical LandmarkTourist AttractionHistorical PlacePoint Of InterestEstablishment

Kishamichi Promenade in Yokohama is a scenic and historic walkway that offers a unique blend of urban beauty and nostalgic charm. This delightful promenade follows the path of an old railway line, providing a picturesque route that connects Sakuragicho Station to the vibrant Minato Mirai area.

One of the promenade's most captivating features is its stunning waterfront views. As you stroll along the path, you’re treated to panoramic vistas of Yokohama Bay, with its shimmering waters and impressive skyline. The route crosses three beautifully preserved iron bridges, adding a touch of historical intrigue and architectural interest to your walk.

Lined with cherry trees, the Kishamichi Promenade is especially enchanting in spring when the blossoms create a tunnel of pink petals. In the evening, the area transforms with twinkling lights reflecting off the bay, making it a romantic spot for couples and a favorite location for photographers.

The promenade also offers convenient access to several key attractions. You can easily reach the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, the Yokohama Cosmo World amusement park, and the iconic Landmark Tower, all while enjoying the leisurely pace and scenic beauty of the walk.

What other travelers are saying about Kishamichi Promenade

Beautifully decorated walkway from Sakuragicho JR station to the Yokohama Red Brick House. I assume the railway along the promennade has some historical significances! The walk is leisure with nice view of the iconic ferries wheel and the tallest building in Yokohama! Also, one of the best place to see the night view of Yokohama! Way better than taking the over-charged and super short distance cable car!

Quite lovely, both for the history and for the landscaping. Makes for a peaceful walk (and convenient) across the bay

Best place to see the night view of Yokohama. There is no need to go to Sky Garden for sightseeing of the night of Yokohama. Just walk thru this park and bridge and feel some fresh air and enjoy the view. It is much better than any other place and it is free!
