Makkari Onsen is a natural hot spring resort located in Makkari Village in Hokkaido's Abuta District, offering visitors an authentic Japanese bathing experience with spectacular mountain views. This all-natural sourced gensen kakenagashi hot spring features stunning views of Mt Yotei from its rotenburo (outdoor bath), making it one of the region's most scenic onsen destinations.

Public transportation options include taking the JR train to Kutchan Station and transferring to local buses that serve the Niseko area, though car rental provides the most convenient access to this rural location. Adult admission costs vary by season, with a 15-time ticket available for 6,000 yen and children's tickets (ages 6-12) priced at 2,500 yen, while children under 5 enter free. Payment is accepted in cash only.
