Very beautiful. The day we went was a little foggy so the view came and went. We recommend driving or taking the bus because it’s a 15% incline for 30 minutes if you walk… The ropeway pass includes free entry into their squirrel park. There’s lots to do on top of Mt Tengu but note you will have to pay for the extra activities and they may not all be open when you go. The hike was very nice and gave good views of the cityscape below.

There was such a long queue but it wasn't well handled. The queue up the mountain wasn't that bad because we lined up inside the building. After buying the tickets, if I wasn't paying attention, I wouldn't know where to line up. On the way down, the queue is so long that it has reached outside. The temperature when we went was -7℃ but felt like -15 since it was very windy. The view would've been great but it was snowing. We were thinking of going snowboarding here but there wasn't that much info online.

Bus from otaru station leaves 2 or 3 times in an hour. Very convenient ¥240 per way. The ropeway was ¥1600 for return trip. The cafe has great views but the food is average and overpriced. I enjoyed the sunset vies with my take away food with tengu cafe tea. Very magical with the snow backdrop.
