Yebisu Garden Place Tower stands as a striking 39-story skyscraper in Tokyo's Ebisu district, reaching a height of 167 meters. Completed in 1994, the tower forms the centerpiece of the expansive Yebisu Garden Place complex, a mixed-use development built on the former site of the Sapporo Beer Ebisu Brewery. This transformation from industrial facility to modern urban space represents one of Tokyo's significant redevelopment projects of the 1990s, connecting the area's brewing heritage with contemporary city life.

The tower holds cultural significance as home to the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography on its first and second floors, making it an important venue for photographic art in Japan. The Top of Yebisu, an observation area located on the 38th and 39th floors, offers panoramic views across Tokyo, with clear sightlines to landmarks including Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skyscope, and on clear days, Mount Fuji. The surrounding Yebisu Garden Place complex features over 40 restaurants, luxury shops, and the Museum of Yebisu Beer, which chronicles the area's brewing legacy dating back to 1890.

Visitors can access the observation deck for stunning 360-degree views of the metropolitan landscape, particularly impressive during sunset and evening hours when Tokyo's cityscape illuminates. The tower's ground-level plaza, Sapporo Square, hosts seasonal events and features a prominent Baccarat chandelier during winter months. The complex's European-inspired architecture and spacious public areas provide a distinct atmosphere compared to Tokyo's denser districts.

The tower is located in Ebisu, Shibuya Ward, easily accessible via JR Ebisu Station on the Yamanote and Saikyo Lines, or Ebisu Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. A covered moving walkway, the Ebisu Skywalk, connects the station directly to the complex, approximately a 5-minute walk. Admission to the Top of Yebisu observation area is free, though individual facilities within the complex may charge separate fees.
