Tempozan Ferris Wheel was one of my favorite moments in Osaka. The wheel itself is huge and impressive up close, with colorful gondolas and a calm boarding area that felt well managed by the staff. The ride is smooth and takes around 15 minutes, which is just enough time to relax and enjoy the view over Osaka Bay, the bridges, the waterfront, and the city skyline in the distance. Sunset is especially beautiful here—the sky turns orange over the water and the lights around the bay slowly come on, making it feel very peaceful and romantic. 🎡 I also liked that it’s easy to reach, just a short walk from Osakako Station and close to the aquarium area, so it’s simple to include in a day trip. The transparent cabins are fun if you want a bit more thrill, though the regular cabins still give excellent views and usually have a shorter wait. Definitely worth riding if you’re visiting Osaka’s bay area.
Combining the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, a sunset view from the Tempozan Ferris Wheel, and a visit to the Port of Osaka makes for a flawless afternoon-to-evening itinerary. These landmarks sit directly adjacent to each other in Tempozan Harbour Village without any transit time.
We first explored Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan for around 3 hours until 5:30 pm since we could witness the change to the Night Aquarium at 5:00 pm. We could naturally experience both the daytime and nighttime atmospheres during our single walkthrough.
After that, we walked around Tempozan Marketplace and enjoyed the Tempozan Ferris Wheel Sunset Ride. The ride took exactly 15 minutes. It was amazing to watch the sun dip below the horizon over the Port of Osaka. Strolling the Port of Osaka for some sunset shots was the perfect end to our evening.
🚊 Transport Tips: Take the Osaka Metro Chūō Line to Osakako Station. Take Exit 1 or 2 and walk straight for 5 minutes toward the massive Ferris wheel.
I had such a great time riding the Tempozan Ferris Wheel! The views of Osaka Bay and the city skyline were absolutely beautiful, especially as the sun started to set. The ride was smooth, relaxing, and gave me the perfect chance to take in the scenery and snap a few photos. If you’re visiting the area, I definitely recommend taking a ride it’s a simple experience. Great price, super friendly people and the lines move pretty fast. I definitely recommend.

Located in the Tempozan area near Osaka Bay, the Ferris wheel provides beautiful panoramic views across the harbour, city skyline, and surrounding attractions. The slow rotation gives plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and take in the contrast between the waterfront and the urban landscape.
The experience feels especially enjoyable as a calm break from the busy city, allowing visitors to simply sit back and appreciate the views from above. On a clear day, the wide views across Osaka Bay make the ride even more rewarding.
A great attraction for couples, families, or anyone who enjoys city views and a slower-paced experience. Combining it with a walk around the Tempozan harbour area makes for a pleasant afternoon or evening visit.
Great views, cabins were air conditioned so it was nice and comfortable. We waited 20 minutes for the see through bottom cabin (no extra charge) but not really sure it was worth it over the solid bottomed cabin as we didn’t look down much at all.
Overall it was a great experience and would highly recommend
