Sushi-Making Experience in Kyoto with Photography Service

1 hour and 30 minutes
Take part in a hands-on sushi-making class in Kyoto, guided by an expert with over 30 years of experience. Learn to craft six types of Nigiri sushi and Hosomaki rolls in a step-by-step process suitable for all ages. Enjoy your handmade sushi as a delicious meal, and take home photos and videos of the experience to cherish forever.

  • Lesson fee (English-speaking assistant and instructor)
  • All necessary ingredients
  • Cooking utensils, including a makisu (bamboo rolling mat)
  • Plastic gloves
What's not included
  • Transportation to the meeting point or venue

  • Please notify us of any food allergies or dietary needs ahead of time.

  • The class duration is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  • Minimum age for participants is 6 years.

  • Comfortable clothing is recommended for ease during the session.

  • All tools and ingredients will be provided, no need to bring anything.

  • Photo and video coverage: assistants will take 30–50 photos and record 5–10 short videos per group using iPhones. Files can be shared via AirDrop for iPhone users or uploaded to Google Drive with download links sent by email for Android users

  • Arrive 10 minutes early to ensure a smooth start to the class.

  • The venue details will be shared upon booking confirmation.

Morning Session

  • 10:20 – Meet Up
    Arrive at the venue and meet our friendly team. A quick intro will get you ready for the class.

  • 10:30 – Sushi-Making Class
    Learn step-by-step how to make six Nigiri sushi and one Hosomaki roll. The instructions are easy to follow, even for beginners.

  • 11:30 – Enjoy Your Sushi
    Sit back and taste your handmade sushi. It’s fresh, delicious, and made by you!

  • 12:00 – Wrap-Up
    The session ends with photos and videos shared directly to your device, so you’ll have lasting memories.

Afternoon Session

  • 12:20 – Meet Up
    Join us at the venue and get a quick rundown of the class.

  • 12:30 – Sushi-Making Class
    Follow easy instructions to make Nigiri sushi and a Hosomaki roll. The process is fun and hands-on.

  • 13:30 – Enjoy Your Sushi
    Relax and enjoy the sushi you’ve made with fresh ingredients.

  • 14:00 – Wrap-Up
    End the session with your photos and videos sent to you.

  • A cancellation fee of 20% applies for cancellations within 360 hours of the start time.
  • A cancellation fee of 50% applies for cancellations within 120 hours of the start time.
  • Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the start time.
