Workshop Agenda

Welcoming Whiffs of Tradition

From the very moment you step into our sanctified culinary space, the comforting and familiar aroma of Japanese tea beckons you. It's more than just a greeting – it’s our traditional way of making you feel at home, in the heart of Japan's culinary wonders.

Preparing for a Gastronomic Adventure

Before we embark on our cooking journey, our seasoned staff – a repository of culinary tales and techniques – will lay out the roadmap for the day. It’s a step-by-step guide ensuring you're well-equipped and ready. Then, as you tie the strings of your chef’s apron around your waist, you're not just preparing to cook; you’re connecting to countless generations of Japanese chefs who’ve crafted recipes handed down through time.

Unfolding the Pages of Culinary History

Japanese cuisine is not just about taste, but stories. Stories of ancient emperors, bustling samurai towns, and quiet village celebrations. Together, we’ll journey through time, exploring the rich tapestry of traditions, techniques, and tales that have shaped the dishes we savor today. And it's not just about the dishes, but the core ingredients that make them. You'll dive deep into the essence of what makes Japanese cuisine so distinctive and cherished.

Crafting Confections and Classic Meals

Every season in Japan brings with it a palette of flavors. Depending on the current season, you'll get hands-on experience in molding traditional Japanese sweets that embody the very spirit of that time of the year. Under the watchful eye and expert guidance of our English-speaking maestro, you’ll then immerse yourself in creating 'Ichiju-Sansai', the revered 'One soup and three dishes', which epitomizes the Japanese daily meal.

A Feast of Fruits of Our Labor

The final act of our culinary drama is the most rewarding. The table is set, and together we sit, ready to relish the dishes we've so lovingly prepared. It's a time of shared pride, laughter, and, of course, delicious flavors. As you savor every bite, the stories, techniques, and traditions you've learned come alive on your palate.
