La Casta Natural Healing Garden, Omachi

La Casta Natural Healing Garden is an open garden attached to the factory of Alpine Rose, a company based in Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, that manufactures and sells haircare, skincare, and other botanical products. The garden brings to life the La Casta brand concept of "the vitality and healing power of plants," and stands as both a working production site and a curated visitor destination at the foot of the Northern Japan Alps.

The park is organized into 10 distinct areas, including the Aroma Garden, where visitors can touch and smell fragrant plants, and the Season Garden, through which snowmelt water from the Northern Alps flows. From 2023, a new plant and scent experience area themed around "La Casta's Lab" and the La Casta Northern Alps Main Store were established on site. Inside the castle-like factory building, the second floor houses an aroma bar for fragrance preparation experiences and an Origin Room displaying La Casta's history and philosophy. The Seasonal Garden features around 30 varieties of flowers arranged by season, while the Water Garden offers views of blossoms reflected on a pond surface accompanied by the sound of a waterfall.

Visitors can join perfumery workshops to blend personalised fragrances, and the on-site café serves a menu using ingredients sourced from the company's own farm, including a selection of herbal teas. The La Casta Northern Alps Main Store, located next to the garden entrance, is open year-round and accessible without garden admission. It offers hair care products made with pesticide-free echinacea grown on the company's Omachi farm, and staff provide free scalp checks using a microscope. A notable feature of the grounds is drinking water drawn from 100 metres underground, sourced from the Northern Alps aquifer.

Admission is ¥1,100 for adults and high school students (aged 16 and over) and ¥550 for children aged 6 to 15. Advance reservations are required for garden entry and can be made online or by phone. Aroma experience workshops are available at an additional cost of ¥1,760. By train, the garden is an 8-minute walk from Azumi-Kutsukake Station on the JR Oito Line. By car, it is approximately 25 minutes from the Azumino Interchange on the Nagano Expressway.
