Matcha, Kimono, and Tea Ceremony Experience in Tokyo

• Minimum participant age is 7 years.

• Socks are required for all participants in the tatami room. Guests who arrive without socks will be asked to purchase them at the workshop.

• The session is not wheelchair accessible and not stroller accessible.

• No pets are permitted.

• Infants must not sit on laps, and infant seats are not available.

• Bookings must be completed at least 12 hours before the session start time.

• Bookings are automatically canceled 10 minutes after the appointment time if participants have not arrived. No refund is issued in this case.

Workshop Agenda

Kimono Dressing 

Select and put on an easy-to-wear kimono designed for quick fitting without the extended process of a traditional kimono. Kimono rental is included in the session price. 

• Duration: Approximately 15 minutes

Matcha Lecture Attend a structured lecture covering the agricultural background of matcha production, its health properties from a scientific perspective, and a comparative tasting from a selection of over 100 matcha varieties sourced from across Japan. The session covers the differences between Japanese and international matcha and the distinctions between green tea, black tea, and Chinese teas.

Hands-On Tea Ceremony Experience 

Prepare a bowl of matcha using traditional tea ceremony tools under guided instruction, covering the correct technique and the basic etiquette for drinking matcha. All tools are provided and included in the session price.
