What other travelers are saying about Konashidaira Camp Site
A peaceful and refreshing atmosphere surrounded by vibrant autumn colors. The changing leaves make this place especially stunning during the fall season — perfect for a relaxing walk and enjoying nature at its best.
Great campground! Has everything you need. There’s a small shop that sells small food items, drinks and other things that you might need - all at reasonable prices. The bfast/ lunch / dinner at the Shokudo / canteen serves large portions at reasonable prices - perfect when you come back from a few days hiking. There’s even a sento bath for 700yen per person. Great place - excellent staff - would definitely stay there again.
My first solo camping out of country, and this place already set the bar sky high!!
Amazing view, serene, quiet and you’ll find the peace you look for. The best spot to have a reset.
There’s a resto in front of the reception area where you can also buy camping stuff. If you’ll be coming from outside Japan and packing light, you can buy butane, cups, utensils, slippers, etc here. You can rent a sleeping bag and blanket as well.
You can also charge your gadgets at the resto for ¥100/device.
I’ll definitely be back here!!!
Me and my partner stayed in a cabin here for 3 nights. By far the most beautiful camping ground we’ve ever stayed in! Everyone is really friendly and helpful, and it’s perfectly placed for walks/hikes around the area.
Our only negative was the only time to use the baths was 2-6pm, it would be good if it was possible to use in the morning as well!
Beautiful campsite. We paid 1500 yen per person per night. The tenting is “first come first serve” but we were able to find a spot right along the river. Not a lot of English is spoken but we had a helpful employee explain the food storage, trash, and shower system. The restaurant and convenience shop was enough food. We also could leave our tent up with stuff in it while we did a day hike - the environment is super safe and friendly. Everyone was very respectful and quiet by 9 pm.
